“Agile Couples Therapy: the Project Manager and the Scrum Master”
PMs and SMs have quite similar skill sets. Because of that, role clarification between the two can be a bit hazy. In this talk, follow along as former colleagues in various roles play out common relationship scenarios between the PM and the SM. They will show you the good, bad and ugly and give you tips, tricks and tools to use to improve the relationship with your “significant other” as you navigate through the waters of Agile project management. The number one goal is learning, but we hope you have some fun along the way!

Beth Galambos is a product gal who gets giddy about thorough user research, air-tight strategy and building technologies that make life more awesome. A Certified Scrum Product Owner, Beth led scrum teams at two organizations, and is now working as a UX researcher with Regions Bank, where she studies consumer behavior and coaches product owners in strategic decision making based on user feedback.
Jamie Leatherman is a seasoned Scrum Master, currently working at WellCare Health Plans as a Product Manager on a project. With over 30 successful project implementations under her belt, Jamie is a self-proclaimed ‘Agile Nerd’ whose mission is to educate people on the values and principles that Agile brings to an organization and its people.
Pooja Pendharkar is always tinkering with new ideas - whether they are for the mobile app she manages as a Product Manager at Bank of OZK or the mobile app she manages at her startup, Lunchpool. Constantly assessing her product portfolio, Pooja looks to market and use her research to inform her roadmaps by evaluating if and how new solutions solve users’ real-world problems.
