October Chapter Meeting: "Foundations of an Enterprise PMO"
In the Spring of 2019, the newly created Moffitt Cancer Enterprise Project Management team was moving, but in a synchronous way. Stakeholders undervalued their talents; they were not hitting benchmark standards and were faced with the pressure to execute on Moffitt Cancer Center's strategic plan. The team needed to elevate their benchmark score from 1.7 to 3.0 in six months. They would later go on to win the Project Management Institute's Project Management Office of the Year Award in 2021. This session will focus on the key elements used to assess and benchmark the team. Christine DeVol, Sr. Director of the Process & Project Management Office, Amanda Lowe, Director of Enterprise Project Management, and Mike New, Manager of Enterprise Project Management, will engage the audience by sharing their personal account of the journey, sharing the trials and tribulations of how they moved from crawling to a walking maturity level while delivering on their stakeholders' strategic plan.
This month also marks our first in-person Chapter Meeting in two and a half years! Dinner is included. There will be no virtual option to attend this session.
