Advanced Agile Essentials is a value-packed one-day course that provides a deep dive into topics necessary to mature your Agile expertise. The class builds on foundational knowledge and exposes students to important, next-step topics and best practices. 

This course includes several hands-on activities to reinforce the formal learning and concepts presented in class. Participants are strongly encouraged to share their real-world challenges to create a meaningful learning environment. 

This course is recommended for people with a foundational knowledge of the Agile mindset, Scrum, and Kanban; or who have completed the 1-day Agile Essentials course.

This course is aligned with the Project Management Institute’s Agile Certified Professional (PMI-ACP®) and Scrum Alliance’s Certified Scrum Master (CSM®) and Certified Product Owner (CSPO®) course outlines.

Alan Zucker, MA, PMP, PMI-ACP, CSP, SPC

Alan Zucker has over 25 years of experience leading projects and project management organizations in Fortune 100 companies.  His Agile experience pre-dates the Agile Manifesto, and he played a leadership role in the Lean-Agile transformation of a large financial services company. 

Alan is an industry thought leader.  He is a frequent keynote speaker, regularly quoted in the press, and a frequent podcast guest. In addition, he writes monthly articles and has developed several Agile courses.  He is an adjunct faculty member at George Mason University and the University of Georgia and is a senior instructor with several national professional development organizations.

Alan has a master’s degree in economics from the University of Maryland and a master’s and a certificate in IT Project Management from George Washington University.  He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Agile Professional (PMI-ACP) through the Project Management Institute.  He also holds multiple Agile certifications from Disciplined Agile, Scrum Alliance, and Scaled Agile.
